Spring Program Our biggest program of the year, the Spring Session kicks off our "official" season. Games are held outdoors at Votee Park in Teaneck. We make up four teams to accomodate the 65 + women who participate. Games are played on Sunday evenings and practices are scheduled on week nights. We play 80 minute games of 11 v. 11. The season starts mid-April and runs until the end of June. The fee for this program is $85.00 (includes team jersey). Indoor Program During the Winter months we move indoors and play two sessions at the Soccer Coliseum (Teaneck Armory). Each session runs seven weeks with the first session starting the first week of December. Indoors, we play 40 minute games (running clock) of 6 v. 6. Games are scheduled on Wednesday nights at about 8:30 pm. We hold one pick-up session during the winter months on Sunday nights at the Rodda Center in Teaneck. The fee for each indoor session is $95.00. Pick-up is free for TWSL members. TWSL Beginners Program Every Fall, TWSL runs it's special program just for beginners. The program is designed to accommodate women who would like to participate, but in a less competitive environment. Coaches will focus on basic skill building and athletic conditioning. The program starts in September and runs for approximately 8 weeks on Monday nights. Cost for the 8 week session is $65.00. Teaneck United - Garden State Soccer League TWSL enters a competitive team in the Garden State Soccer League. The level of play is more competitive than our recreational league. Games are played on Sunday mornings, both home and away in the Fall and Spring seasons. This team is for current TWSL members who have shown the skill and dedication to play at a more competitive level. Summer & Fall Pick-Up Games After playing in organized leagues from November through June, we shift gears and play pick up through the Summer and Fall months. Depending on coaches' availablility and field space will play either one or two nights per week. New players are always welcome. Tournaments TWSL has participated in a number of different tournaments throughout the years. Every year we do the annual Goals for Life Tournamentheld in Brookdale Park in Montclair, NJ. We enter two teams, one beginner and one advanced. All TWSL members are invited to participate. All proceeds from the event are donated to a specific women's charity. We've also participated in the Las Vegas Classic in spring of 2006 and are planning to do more traveling in the future. Charity Game Each year TWSL challenges the patons and employees of our local watering hole to "friendly" match. We'll collect donations and raise funds with raffles for a local charity.
