The following will outline Teaneck Women's Soccer League's policy regarding player and/or coach misconduct in the context of league play. League play consists of any TWSL sponsored event such as league games, practices, pick-up games, scrimmages or outside events, such as a traveling tournament that TWSL may participate in as a group.
Misconduct includes:
- offensive or foul language on the field, whether it is directed at an opposing team, its coaches, or one's own team member or coach
- excessive and inappropriate physical contact, which may result in injury to an opposing team or one's own team member
- any language or action directed at an opposing team, its coaches, or one's own team member or coach which may be construed as belittling, inappropriate, attacking or demeaning in any way, and which may result in a complaint

If one of the TWSL board members, a league player or coach witnesses such an incident during any TWSL event, or if such an incident is formally brought to the attention of the board, the offending party will be subject to the following consequences:
- An official reprimand by the TWSL board on the first incident.
- A reprimand and one-game suspension for the second incident
- The third incident will warrant a suspension for the remainder of the season or 60 days, whichever is longer
- Any registration fees paid for will not be refunded if a player is suspended

3 consecutive Yellow cards in one season will result in a 1 game suspension
1 Red card will result in a 2 game suspension
2 Yellow cards in one game = 1 Red card and therefore will result in a 2 game suspension
It is not the wish of the TWSL board to enforce the Misconduct Policy.
However, in the interest of keeping the league as a recreational entity which
welcomes players of all skill levels and ages, the board feels it must have such a
policy in place.
