Our league is open to all women 19 years of age or older, non-residents welcome. We accommodate players of all skill levels. Special attention is given to beginners by our experienced coaches.
We run different soccer programs throughout the year. Check out our current program page to see if we are registering players for an upcoming program. If teams are full or we're "in-between" sessions, new players are always welcome to join our pick-up nights.
How to register and become a TWSL member:
New players can join our league by registering for our spring and indoor leagues during our open registration periods or by joining our beginner program. If you miss either of those programs, you can join us for pick-up. We run pickup all year long including winter (indoor).
All new players are required to fill out a registration and waiver form. Forms are available at practice/pick-up or you can download forms here. Forms must be submitted in person.
All of our leagues and programs (including pickup) have fees. All fees are subject to change. Any new player showing up for pickup, should email twslorg.info@gmail.com beforehand.

Programs
Spring League
Our biggest program of the year, the Spring Session kicks off our "official" season. Games are held outdoors at Westwood High School in Westwood. We make up four teams to accommodate the 65 + women who participate. Games are played on Sunday evenings and practices are scheduled on weeknights. We play 80 minute games of 11 v. 11. The season starts mid-April and runs until mid June. Registration begins in March. Players register as individuals.
Indoor League-Winter
During the winter months we move indoors and play two sessions at Waldwick Superdome. Each session runs eight weeks with the first session usually starting in November. Indoors, we play 40 minute games (running clock) of 8 v. 8 on turf. Check the website at that time for registration information. Players register as individuals.
Beginner Program
**NOTE: TWSL will NOT be running a Beginner program this year**
In the fall, TWSL runs it's special program just for Soccer Moms and beginners. The program is designed to accommodate women who would like to participate, but in a less competitive environment. Coaches will focus on basic skill building and athletic conditioning. The program starts in September and runs for approximately 8 weeks. This fall the program will run in Westwood only (Tuesdays). Registration for the fall Beginner Program begins in September.
Tournaments
Each year TWSL participates in at least 3-4 various women's soccer tournaments in the area including, the annual Goals for Life Tournament held in Brookdale Park in Montclair, NJ and the Soccer Resort's tournament in Atlantic City, NJ. We have also traveled to Maine, Miami and Las Vegas to play. Most tournaments include a charity component.
Summer & Fall Pick-Up Games
After playing in organized leagues from November through June, we shift gears and play pick-up through the summer and fall months. We play one night during the week and on Sundays nights. New players can join us for pick-up once they register to become TWSL members.
Charity Game
Every fall we challenge the Cottage Bar (local bar & sponsor) to a friendly game. The game is a fun way to raise money for a local (Teaneck based organization). Cottage employees, patrons & TWSL members pay to play and are encouraged to raise extra funds by securing sponsorship. The event includes a party back at the Cottage Bar afterwards. Past recipients include: Friends of the Teaneck Seniors, Teaneck Ambulance Corp, Shelter Our Sisters, Zoe's Place & Do Wonders.
